Life so Far :)

Hii everyone!! I'm back after quite a while of not vlogging :) Well, the good news is that I'm officially on summer break!! Here's a couple of my favorite moments that happened over the past few weeks.

1. (1 week before summer break) I had a dinner with my best friend to celebrate the both of us graduating at the same time! It was so much fun being able to spend time with her after so many weeks of us being both stressed and busy out of our minds due to finals and work. Working and going to college full-time is not for the weak!! We had ceviche, gyoza, spicy miso carbonara, sushi, and dessert (talk about being insatiable). This was the most delicious dinner I've ever tasted in my whole entire life!!!! Hanging out with my best friend was the best part though, hands down :))

2. (1 week before summer break) I attended my best friend's younger sister's graduation!!!! Safe to say, I made sure to cheer so loud that my throat was sore the next day. I was so proud of her.

3. (The first week of summer break) I volunteered for the very first time. It was really nice getting to interact with the community I've grown up alongside for so long. It's such a rewarding feeling knowing you're actively engaging with your community. It gives me such a huge sense of purpose and I can't wait to keep continuing it!

4. (The first week of summer break) I received my birthday presents from my best friend. I felt a little lonely this time around for my birthday, but my best friend truly made it so special. My heart is so happy with all of the thoughtful gifts she got for me, and spending time was the best!!!

5. (The second week of summer break). I went thrifting!! I've been wanting to go to this place in so long. It's an amazing thrift store for anime-lovers (although I don't watch a lot of anime, I love cute characters) since there's a plethora of figurines, pins, and charms. I got myself a few phone charms to decorate my phone!!

I've since created a summer "ideas" list that I'm excited to do this summer! I can't wait to share some of those things with you guys. :)

Here's to many more amazing memories to come this summer!!!:)) (PS, to anyone who's out of school now, doesn't it feel amazing to not have any more academic stress for the next few months??!)

Summer Plans

 Hi everyone,

I hope everyone has been doing well!:) I wanted to talk a little bit about my summer plans. A lot will be happening, and I'm both scared and excited at the same time...

First, I will finally be learning how to drive!! I'm excited to achieve that sense of independence in my life :) It'll feel completely different, but I'll also probably be going to places alone more often with that type of freedom. It'll be something to celebrate!

Then, I will be meeting with a counselor for the university I'll be transferring to in the fall in order to plan my schedule together. I'm a bit nervous about that because my other graduate school choice hasn't responded to me yet in terms of class equivalences, and I don't want to sign up for the wrong classes when they won't even count for grad school. But I'm sure I will figure it out somehow.

The hardest part, but also the most exciting part, is that I will be resuming physical therapy. Unfortunately, a few symptoms have remained consistent despite me trying a lot of things and going through a lot of doctors. It will be a very hard chapter of my life, because I'll be going through it without knowing with certainty whether I'll feel better or not. I'll have to commit months of my life for a treatment that will take up a lot of my time, physical energy, and mental energy, without knowing for sure whether I'll feel better at the end. I will cry tears of joy and feel so much mental relief I haven't felt in years if I feel better, but I know I'll also be completely crushed if I don't, because that means I'll have to continue searching for answers. However, I think the biggest theme in my life right now is doing things unsure. We will never know the outcome of any risks we take in life, but I think that trying is so much better than never trying at all. Sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we have to keep walking forwards no matter what. Resuming physical therapy is also me writing a love letter to my body in a way in that I'll finally be taking care of it again, since school has really been taking up a lot of my time. I'm really excited to resume my PT journey.

To come back to a more positive note, I'll also be dying my hair a different color and refreshing my wardrobe. A lot of my clothes I've had for over a decade and are really starting to deteriorate (or simply not match my age anymore, or at least the way I want to present myself). I'm really excited to go thrifting over the summer and find some pieces that I feel like represent my personality more. This summer will be the summer of me doing so many new things and trying so many things!!

And last but not least of course is spending more time with friends and family. I'm really looking forward to spending much needed time with my friends and family. I'm excited to spend a beach day with my best friend and do some karaoke (it'll be our first time doing karaoke together!!) There's many things to look forward to, despite the fact that I'll be resuming a very difficult chapter of my life this summer :)) There is happiness and hope!!

Take care everyone and I'll see you next time <333

Spring break! Books and Owl City

 Hi everyone!!

I officially started spring break yesterday, but it doesn’t feel like a spring break…. Just because I’ll be so focused studying for my two exams after spring break. 🥲 How can it be a break like this??!!!???? Anyway…

I haven’t been doing very well, but on the positive side of things, I got to spend time with my best friend this weekend. It’s always a pleasure hanging out with her!! I have been trying to find the little joys in life, and one of them has been reading. I really have been enjoying Frances Hodgson Burnett’s books. I specifically have been reading The Secret Garden and A Little Princess, but I hope to read more of her books in the future! I can only best describe her writing style as “magical”; I think that’s the perfect word to describe it.

Books have always been a source of escapism for me, but so has music! I’ve been loving Owl City’s album “Ocean Eyes.” An amazing musician who is criminally underrated!! Please give him a listen when you get the chance! My favorite song from that album is actually the starting track, “Cave In.” It’s a wonderfully charming little song with a big theme on breaking free to a brand new place without looking back. The production of Ocean Eyes is a lot more sophisticated than Of June, Adam Young’s first album under the name “Owl City” (he previously released music under a different name, AKA Sky Sailings.) I still love Of June, it was the first Owl City album I fully listened to, and the track Hello Seattle will always have a big place in my heart. Owl City music is also “magical” to me in a way, because it’s so imaginative. Listening to an Owl City song feels like I’m daydreaming, drifting off to a new situation and place in my mind…

I’ve been really enjoying these two things lately, and I’ve been trying to fill my spring break with as much joy as possible, even though I still have to work and study. Those two things are difficult, but I’m immensely privileged to even work right now and go to college, so I always remember that what I might complain about now is someone else’s dream. As for dreams, I struggle for them all of the time, but I know that in the end, my hard work will be all worth it, and I’ll look back on my younger self with pride. It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes, but there are ways that we can make the journey more tolerable.

See you next time, look forward to my next post!!!! xxxx

PIC 📷: Gyaru makeup attempt number ??

Hiii

I’m really happy with how this make (from a couple weeks ago) turned out and wanted to share ^_^ I think I’ve found a way to make a droop that complements my face shape. Next time, I’m going to make the blush a bit more visible and make my eyebrows lighter using more concealer. In the meantime, I’m really excited to continue improving!!

School is in sesion!! +what i've been up to

Hello there, it's been a while!!

Next week will mark my 3rd week at school, and honestly, it's been a bit hectic (T_T) ...hence why i haven't been able to post any cool pics yet.. it's since I don't really have much time to myself!!! I'm in an anatomy lecture+lab class, and the workload is definitely intense. I'm used to it, though, bc I've had experience with other tough classes, but boy is this one tough!! Every lab period (2x a week), we have 3-4 pages worth of bones to label, memorize, and study for (we usually have a quiz the next class meeting). And that's just lab, I haven't even mentioned what I have to do for the actual lecture yet !! And of course, this isn't the only class I'm taking, so the workload has just been a lot to manage!! BUT I am really looking forward to Valentine's Day this weekend!! Woohoo for it being on a Saturday!! So excited about that.

In the meantime though, i've been really enjoying journaling (I think it's more like scrapbooking??) , it adds a lot of joy and structure to my life!! I always felt like journaling wasn't really my thing, but i stand corrected!! It's nice being able to get out all of my thoughts on a page, and i really enjoy writing so its very therapeutic and a nice short thing to look forward to on the days i choose to do it :)) I've also really been enjoying listening to new music, challenging myself to sing new songs out of my range and style, and dancing!! At some point, i'd like to join a dance club/class!! :)) i'm a total beginner but i think it'd be super fun, and over quarantine i danced to way too many kpop dances..... LOL

Anyway, that's what i've been up to lately!! As of now, i'm frantically catching up on some HW and studying I wasn't able to get to yesterday ( I drank a super strong coffee without knowing how strong it was, and it messed me UP) , but i thought about blogging again since i've really been missing it!!! Hopefully i'll be able to post some nice pictures for V-day!! See you all soon!!!!:))))<333

Playville Tour!!!:))

A mobile game most dear to my heart, LINE PLAY, shut down in May of 2024. Ever since then, I haven’t been able to find a game that even comes close to it T_T and I never expect to, because LP was truly one of a kind!!! But last year, I was really into a game named Playville. It has a pixel art style with so many intricate fashion and decor items which really drew me in. The artistry should really be applauded!! In the game, you dress up your avatar using items you get from gachas or specific quests. You get home decor items by crafting, mining, and gachas.

Anyway though, here is a tour of my courtyard!! In this game, you have both a house and a courtyard, but my courtyard is a lot more elaborate looking than my house…

^^^^^ Here is a photo of my front porch. I was really inspired by people who, very early on the game, would remove the fences around their farm to use in front of their house as an imitation front porch. I put my bouquet-making table here, lots of plants, and a small table and chair to sit and enjoy a snack at. I lined the edges with some flowers.

^^^^^ Here is where the main functions of the courtyard happen: harvesting crops and receiving goods from your animals.

^^^^^ And here is… my favorite part of my courtyard!! It’s a tea party gathering area! I made macarons (an item with a very complicated recipe) and tiramisu just for this area. :P I put my wish fountain here (players can wish on each other’s fountain for friendship points), books (of course) and a couple of swing sets. I lined it with bushes and fancier white fences to make it feel like a hidden and special area.

Would you like to be a part of the tea party? :P You can check out my avatar on Playville (I’m not active anymore though, I’m sorry in advance!) by searching up the name “Queenie.” Each username comes with a hashtag and number afterwards. I am Queenie#019 ! Thanks for coming to my tour :))))

See you next time <3333

My first celebrity encounter

So this is a really funny story i think i've only ever told one person about, and a certain song is trending this month and so i thought i'd just bring this story up again :P

A long time ago I tweeted about how two songs sounded like "sisters," as in they had the same vibes, similar production style and vocal effects, but were still unique in their own ways!! Then, just a few hours afterwards, I received a reply to my tweet that said "It's my fault . . . I'm the sisters."

I was a little bit confused so I responded, "I'm not quite following but I'm listening." BUT THEN I googled his name, and IT'S ONE OF THE GUYS WHO PRODUCED "LIKE A G6"....... I WAS SHOCKED!!!!!

After I realized, I told him I probably replayed one of his songs 200 times and thanked him for his amazing work. But it was so hilarious and completely unexpected!!! :P I just thought this was a very cute and nice moment in my life to be able to interact with him briefly. He responded with two hearts after I replied to him. So nice to be able to talk to cool producers!!!! T_T What he meant by his response was that he produced both the songs I was talking about! Having a signature production style that allows people to recognize you from songs is serious talent!!

P.S. In case you were wondering, the two "sister" songs are 3 Strikes by Terror Jr and Gold by Kiiara

If you ever listen to these songs, comment and let me know... do you agree that they sound like sisters??!

See you next time <3333
